By necessity. I mean, have you *ever* pondered the existence of a backgammon world champion? I haven't.

I had a couple of friends who liked to play Backgammon whilst imbibing copious amounts of nose candy.

I don't think it made them better players, but they certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I never realized Backgammon was so....louche.

I would tolerate euros where there were LARPers, so I could enjoy the eye candy.
It definitely didn't improve my playing.

I don't think they ever tried to take it through their eyes, although they were brothers who simply disappeared a few years ago, so **** knows what they've tried since then.
