I met Muhammad Ali once.  My wife worked at a museum in Washington DC where they held the premiere party for Jurassic Park.  So my wife and I and some of her co-workers crashed the party.  The stars of Jurassic Park were there, and so was Spielberg.  And Ali.  So I went to shake his hand and said it was a pleasure to meet him.  I was kinda tongue-tied about it...

That's way too good for this thread.

If you would like something lamer - I once saw George Stephanapolous in a Starbucks in DC. He is in fact as short as he seems.

I'm sure he gets that a lot. Pretty good party crash, there, btw.

It was great.  Good food and booze, too, as well as celebrities to gawk at.

Well since I haven't tried OCS and don't play ASL or other tactical level games, MMP doesn't have much on its P500 for me right now.  Except Warriors of Japan.  Given how quickly Warriors of God sold, how well received it was, and how hard it's become to get, I'm kinda befuddled about WOJ not being out already.

I basically only engage with Judd's monthly 'Wargames on Your Table' these days...and AWOL

Heya Steve! Good to see you over here.

Ditto from me. Steve, you're instantly recognizable by the spider avatars!

Same. Happy to see so many familiar faces.

Dear Leader! I was about to send Dennis Rodman out to go looking for you.

Well if you find him, tell him I want my Pokemon cards back.

LOL Wendell,

I got banned once from the Geek when I voted for your avatar on a geek list when you were pitted against Obama. Absolute joke they made you change your avatar btw. I mentioned something about KJI being more popular than Obama at the time of that vote. Oh, the Geek's pathetic fascist pursuit for standardisation...

BGG has never made me change my avatar.  Huh

(FWIW, I'm using this one because the idea of the Team America puppet Kim Jong Il with Pokemon amuses me.  This does not imply an endorsement for North Korean family communist despotism, OR collectible card games.)

Found the answer. Guilds cannot be "private clubs". That was what I was wondering.

Pity, that would be useful.

Why am I here?  Because I like ****ing around with those stupid capture things.  It took three times before I got it right.

Oh the irony, oh the shame.  My first post has been censored.  (checks settings)

Well if that don't ****ing beat the god-damned **** out of everything.

Glad to see blasphemy is permitted, pity about the scatology, though.

I'll stop quoting myself now.
