I don't mind some music prior to the game, but I'm not really a fan of mixing the two directly.

A highly underrated Clash album. My favourite along with 'Sandinista!' (also underrated).

WW2 Eastern front needs Wagner.  Age of sail needs the soundtrack from Master and Commander.  Napoleon calls for Beethoven.

I usually have my Pandora channel set to Boccherini for background music.

Age of sail needs the soundtrack from Master and Commander.

I HIGHLY recommend Musical Evenings with the Captain, Vols. I and II, and Musical evenings in the Captain's Cabin.

Had never really given it any thought, but I supposed if I had to chose something it would be either Morzart's Requiem or 1812 Overture

Truth is, I don't listen to music while playing - I find it too distracting.
