SMF as a forum has a lot of advantages over BGG actually.
This pruned down version for free isn't as big a bonus, but searching
and uploading to threads are definite improvements. The image and vid
attachment is more standardized than BGG's as well - though the failure
of previews is a pain in the ass. SMF usually doesn't have that problem,
so you can see what your post actually looks like.

This forum is good for its intended purpose. For image hosting, blogs, etc., it can easily be supplemented with CSW Social for now.

Image hosting is functional (see galleries), but without the BGG game indexing,
it's no better than personal galleries there. If we put too much up, we'll run into some
hard limits as well - but I don't expect the site to reach that level.
