Enrico, you mentioned that there were previous incarnations of The Game Box prior to this one.

How is this one doing? Does it compare will with the previous? Is it working as planned?

Looks like we've been active, I guess we've hit the critical mass for survival.

I hope so.

The first incarnation was my paper records for rating games.
The second, an Geocities site for reporting that information, and giving local (Buffalo)
gaming information, as well as what I was doing solo. Just as I was getting an online
rating collection system up (linked through a CGI hosting site) Geocities folded into
Yahoo, and my account disappeared. So, I gave up on that. Had spent a lot of effort
promoting it.

The next incarnation was my Youtube channel.

Never did a forum for gaming before, but I have started an aspie site (and been
staff in a few others). This looks good so far, in terms of sheer numbers and posts.
We'll have to see how much it holds on, and whether it can expand.

I am concerned that there are mostly wargamers here. Love to see more posts
about euro games especially.

w00t! Another rank increase for pnpFanatic this time.

Sorry, but every sign that people may be becoming invested here pleases me.

Dude, I'm here. Trying hard to stay on game track but some people...

It was the worst time for you to go rogue but I'll make time. We've got this DOT/House packing mess going on so I'm getting to play like zero games, but I have three that should be here Wed. that I may be able to set up and get my fix. Plus I'm working on the outlines for the books I'm writing (the book on design will probably drop first) and I had to postpone my crowd funding deal (I'm working with educators, civic groups and anyone else who will listen and let me bring games into their ops). I can't wait to see that first jaw drop when I tell the school members I'm pitching how much this is going to cost...$0.00. Smiley

And I've been sick as all hell this week (caught a face full of mold spore and had to try real hard not to breath until I got to some water). So my posting is way off.

But yeah, after seeing what the big post is over at BGG...Stupid Wargamer Names...I just face palmed and closed the window.

So keep this ship sailing and you'll have a crew Smiley

"I don't care to belong to any club that will have me as a member." - G. Marx

I think it is going well. Lots of lurking/views on threads. People need to speak up a little maybe. To each their own though.

For what it is worth, I am spending more time here than the Wargame Sub Forum.

I really like this style of forum. Dunno why but its more conversational. Also some nostalgic value when almost all forums used to be like this.

I agree! Much cleaner feel. Except for all the filthy language, of course.   Grin

And now...the novelty is wearing off.
