So people don't wreck perfectly good but inflammatory topics.  Once things get to nothing but name calling, I don't see much to be gained in a thread. |

Maybe. I'm at a place that has a call-out section, where two people can just
go at it. Dunno how much it really helps - but, I've not been one to degenerate
into something that no longer really is about the topic.

I thought the same thing about the religion thread. Those that just want to shout at each other could easily have their own thread to continue if venting is helping them out, beats moderating it to death. Still people might not agree to do that.
I do like it here though, it reminds me of my days on usenet.
