Physical toys just aren't going to be duplicate experiences to boardgames.
The strategy in Formula D is not present in racing toy cars on a track - and you wouldn't expect it.
The excitement of the race cars also isn't going to translate over the same.
It's like playing with a model rocket, or playing High Frontier. They're such different things.
When I was young, I was totally into cars - but never liked the racing sets. They just bored me.
Kinda like model trains, once you had them set up. I would have LOVED a racing board game though.
