who is Mike Dorrish.

I know who Michael Dorosh is (sorry to say). Ooops. Will I be banned?

I'm assuming he can't even spell his own name when not given sufficient words to follow it with.

OR, he's too chickenpoopie to allow search engines to connect this. Image.

The Dorosh has his uses.  When I find myself agreeing with him, I check myself and usually find I'm wrong. Cheesy

The BGG admin is so worried all the time that someone is going to be offended. Are they just politically correct or are they worried they could get sued?

I have been a patron in the past, but not last year and not in the future. The trend towards censorship by banning people for nothing has put me off. I will continue to use the site for reference, but the community over there isn't what is used to be.

One of my old bosses was like that. We called him the "reverse compass" or some such. Whatever decision he made, we did the opposite and it always worked out.

I found this poll on BGG . I believe it refers to Calendale.

We've become a society of the Offended. Offending someone is quickly becoming the worst sin anyone can do. Somehow, making someone feel bad is akin to murder.

This pretty much sums up my feelings on the subject...

Yup.

Philip Pullman also sums up my feelings:
Quote
"It was a shocking thing to say and I knew it was a shocking thing to say. But no one has the right to live without being shocked. No one has the right to spend their life without being offended. Nobody has to read this book. Nobody has to pick it up. Nobody has to open it. And if you open it and read it, you don't have to like it. And if you read it and you dislike it, you don't have to remain silent about it. You can write to me, you can complain about it, you can write to the publisher, you can write to the papers, you can write your own book. You can do all those things, but there your rights stop. No one has the right to stop me writing this book. No one has the right to stop it being published, or bought, or sold or read. That's all I have to say on that subject."

I believe we have our manifesto.

Statements like this are utterly insensitive and socially irresponsible, and have no place in the 21st century.

I like it.  Count me in.  Grin

I don't hate BGG. Its the protector of trolls and sockpuppets. It allows them to flower and flourish. Without BGG they'd be lost in world of kindness!  Grin
