According to my last count, I've got upwards of 200 boardgames. I really need to pare this down - ideally to something like 50. Downsizing takes effort, though, and I'm lazy. But I'm starting to feel oppressed by my collection so a purge is imminent. Too bad cross-border shipping is so insane now - makes selling a big pain in the ass. Probably going to have to limit my market to Canada for shipping, and focus mostly on local pickups.

I actually ended up putting like 70+ games on my Trade/Sale list over at BGG as I'm starting to run out of room to store everything. Was able to get rid of all of my Panzer stuff, and made a trade to get VG Vietnam and VG The Civil War, but other than that I haven't had a lot of luck. Almost getting to the point of just giving some of the stuff away to get it out of my house.

I also seem to be paralyzed by the clutter and having too many choices. I'd prefer to focus on fewer titles. I also need to come up with a nice storage solution for all my Dominion cards - all those boxes!!

Speaking as someone who loves both of your collections, I am filled with both horror and excitement. PS - This is the third reference in as many days that I have seen where someone is moving their Panzer games out of their collections. Curious ... I do not have the game myself, but it seems like it certainly may not have universal appeal?

My Panzer collection is on the hit list too. Since ASL sucks all the oxygen out of my capacity for WW2 tactical, it's probably going to go. Haven't even played it, so I can't comment its gameplay.

Too many other games/series that I have that I would rather try so the Panzer stuff just lost out (but went to a good home).

My problem is that I also have packrat tendencies and hate the idea of getting rid of wargames. *sigh*

re: Panzer ... with the expansions it would take up a fair amount of shelf space too. Good to hear it wasn't a problem with the game play for either of you.
Games and books are things I would have a hard time departing with. I have never done the latter and the best I can do with the former are trades.
As for me ... I am almost getting to the point where future purchases will focus on the real meat and potatoes of my gaming interests. The BARs, M&Ps, etc of the world. Less so on games that lie outside of that narrow circle unless there is a strong motivator.

I'm getting CLOSE to having to cull things. Been shifting stuff around to make a little room. Lucky for me, I've got a decent amount of stuff I really don't much like - most of it not wargames.

I've been putting off the cull by de-boxing some of my games (Beda Fomm, Reds!). Problem is, when they're out of sight they're out of mind!

Well, first into a ziploc and then into another box.
For example, I de-boxed AVD and keep it in the AVL box along with AVL.

Re: Panzer .. for some reason it seems somewhat polarizing.
My son and I have a blast with it.
My one local wargaming buddy did not like the initiative system, and does not want to play it any more.
It is definitely for tank heads. Infantry is almost an afterthought. This seems right to me, so I am perhaps in the target audience.

Seriously. I keep forgetting I have an unboxed unpunched version of Pacific War.
